Global New Zealand Open Championships

The First Global New Zealand Open Championships is being held in Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand on Saturday 5th September, 2026

The event will be Hosted and Organized by Kman’s Martial Arts, and will be held at the Te Puna Mahara – Cromwell Memorial Events Centre, in Central Otago.

Competitors will represent their Nation of Origin.

Note - competitors will be matched into groups according to be fit, at the discretion of the organizers. Spot checks will be performed. >5kg error from entry form data = disqualification without refund

All Taekwondo Styles will be combined. Winner will be the maximum height reached with target contact required (ball of foot).

- I, the undersigned, in consideration of, and as a condition of acceptance of my entry in the tournament hosted by Kman's Martial Arts, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators hereby waive all and any claims, right or cause of action which I or they may otherwise have, for or arising out of loss of life or injury , damage or loss of any description whatsoever, which I might suffer or sustain in the course of, or consequent upon my entry and participation in the said tournament. I understand and accept, that with all participation in sporting events which are combative in nature, with a likelihood of physical contact, that there is an acceptable element of risk.
- I confirm that I have no pre-existing injuries or illness that put me at additional risk via the participation in the events I have selected.
- I accept that the organizers reserve the right to match competitors as closely as possible, based on the entries received. I understand that the organizers reserve the right to alter the competition schedule, based on competitor entry levels.
- I understand that my email address may be used to communicate important event information and updates.
- I understand it is the full responsibility of my coach to ensure I arrive at my event, on time, and with correct attire and equipment (where applicable).

- I understand there are NO REFUNDS for withdrawal prior to, or on the day of the event; non-attendance on the day ; failure to report to the ring on time resulting in missing my match; disqualification for any reason including due to incorrect equipment/uniform or incorrect weigh in information (more than 5kgs); dissatisfaction with match result or refusal of visa (overseas participants).
