ITF Umpire Course & Self Defense Masterclass
Sunday 24th March, 2024 – Melbourne, Vic.
An Internationally sanctioned ITF Umpire course is being conducted on behalf of the International Taekwon-Do Federation on Sunday 24th March, 2024 at the ITF Centre of Excellence (Melton, Vic)
It will be held in conjunction with an ITF sanctioned Self Defence Masterclass, conducted by United ITF President & Technical Director, Master Michael Muleta.
Schedule of Events
10.00am – 1.00pm – ITF Umpiring Course
1.00pm – 2.00pm – complimentary Sausage sizzle and refreshments
2.00pm – 4.00pm – ITF Masterclass (Self Defense)
Students of all ages and ranks are welcome to take part in both sessions.
ITF member participants of the course will be eligible for official ITF Certification for BOTH seminars
- A-Class Umpire (4th Degree & above)
- B-Class Umpire (1st – 3rd Degree – 18 years +)
- C- Class Umpire (Blue Belt & above from 16-17 years)
(Note: ITF Umpire Qualifications expire after 3 years, so if your last course was prior to 2021, you will need to renew it)
Students will learn the Umpire rules and application of rules as they pertain to ITF International championships.
All members are welcome and encouraged to participate.
For those who cannot attend due to geographical reasons, there will be the opportunity to participate via zoom – note that active participation will be monitored, to satisfy ITF requirements.
All those wishing to act as either an Umpire, or a Coach at the upcoming 4th Global Open Taekwon-Do Championships (June 8-9th, Melbourne, Vic) must have completed this course, if you don’t already appear on the ITF published register.
The session will cover all ITF events – Sparring, Patterns, Special Techniques, Power, both team and individual.
It is a useful session not only for officials, but also for competitors and coaches.
As it is a participation based seminar, spectators and filming is not permitted.
