Thoroughbred Taekwon-Do

Thoroughbred Taekwon-Do

Thoroughbred Taekwon-Do was named in 1994, although the foundation club had been operating as an ITF Taekwon-Do school since 1990, founded by Master Michael Muleta (8th Degree).

The name originated from a dual meaning, incorporating the pure breeding of General Choi Hong Hi‘s original Taekwon-Do, as taught to Master Muleta by the Founder himself.

Also, with the first branch opening in Melton, Victoria widely known as Thoroughbred country, due to the large number of equine training facilities in the region.

We are the founding school of United ITF Taekwon-Do Australia Inc., where our Chief Instructor, Master Michael Muleta, is also the current National Body President and Technical Director.

Master Muleta also holds the post of under-Secretary for the International Taekwon-Do Federation.

Senior Instructor, Sabum Justin Chin (6th Degree), also serves as Secretary and Tournament Director of the National Body for ITF in Australia.

Furthermore, martial arts training is not only a great form of self-defense, it is  great to build confidence, self-esteem, character as well as promote health and fitness. The healthy mind, healthy body approach is one we endorse highly.

So if you’re looking for a martial arts class give us a call today.
