The first ever International Seminar conducted for 4th Degree's and above was conducted by ITF President and Grandmaster, Choi Jung Hwa 9th Degree, in London, UK from June 12-14th. Australia was represented by our President, Master Michael Muleta, 7th Degree The seminar was a historic occasion, and the first of it's kind, with over 76 International Instructors attending, including 16 ITF Masters from over a dozen countries. United ITF President, Master Michael Muleta 7th Degree was recently appointed by the ITF as the Chairman of the ITF Umpire Committee (Asia-Pacific region) He makes up part of the ITF Umpire Committee, including Master Galarraga (Argentina), Master Maidana (Argentina), Master Dalton (Ireland), Mr, Skyrme (UK), Mr Perez (Spain) The Umpire Committee has been elected to run and oversee all major ITF Championships, from National, Continental and World Championships, conduct all ITF Umpire training courses and advise on National Selection policies. The Committee has been working of a number of modifications to the ITF tournament rules, and these will be released very shortly. Master Muleta also holds the post as Chairman of the ITF Expansion Committee (Asia Region) |
