ITF Asian Championships

The 2019 ITF Asian Championships and Asian Cup will be held in Kyrgyzstan from June 26th – 30th, 2019.

Logistic note for participants of Taekwon-do ITF Open Asian Championships and Cup 2019 Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic

Goals and objectives
The Open Asian Championships and Cup will take place in accordance with the  calendar plan of the International Taekwon-do Federation, aiming to achieve following goals:

  • promote healthy lifestyles, involve communities of the Kyrgyz Republic, Asian Continent and beyond to the Taekwon-do ITF;
  • improve the level of sporting excellence of Taekwon-do ITF people;
    identify the strongest athletes and teams
  • strengthen of competitive experience of athletes
  • improve qualification of umpires promote Taekwon-do ITF in the Kyrgyz Republic, over the Asian Continent and beyond
  • enhance the reputation of the Kyrgyz Republic
  • attract foreign visitors to the Kyrgyz Republic

Open Asian Championship programmes *Only participants who have I dan (degree) and higher from 9 years of age, can participate at the Open Asian Championships 2019

Only participants with 8 kup and above from 9 years of age can participate in the Open Asian Cup 2019

Accreditation & Weigh In
Accreditation of teams and participants (registration and issuance of an identification document) will be held on June 24-25, 2019 from 09:00 to 20:00 For the accreditation process, all competitors shall have: 1. Passport 2. Certificate (degree confirmation) 3. Team application form with the medical permission 4. Medical insurance.
Weigh in procedures will take place on June 26, 2019 09:00 – 16:00, “Good Lake” Recreation Center.

Seminar for Umpires
To ensure qualified refereeing, an International Umpires Seminar will be held on June 25, 2019 from 09:00 to 18:00.

Accommodation and meals
Participants will be placed in Recreation Center “Good Lake”, Chon-Sary-Oi, Cholpon-Ata. RC “Good Lake” situated in 15 minutes from the Venue. Booking of the rooms will be done by host party (Taekwon-do ITF Association of the Kyrgyz Republic – hereinafter ITF Kyrgyzstan) in accordance with the applications submitted by the delegations. 

Transport and trips
Expenses related to transportation, visa, accommodation, meals, participation at the competitions are covered by participants.
Transfer from Manas International Airport (Bishkek) to Cholpon-Ata city and back will be provided by host party.

Visa
Participants shall take care of obtaining a visa in advance of departure from their home country. Visa support will be provided by the Taekwon-do ITF Association of the Kyrgyz Republic upon request of delegations. 4. Internet access
In the Recreation Center “Good Lake” will be provided free Wi-Fi Internet.
